INDOORS:

Fire-resistant: Glass Blocks have good fire resistant
and fire-proof property. According to Japanese laws and regulations,
single glass block walls have the same fire-resistant affect as
Fire-Proof Door type-B. And double glass block wall can resist fire
for 1 hour.
Frost-resistant: The good heat insulating property
of glass blocks plays an important role on avoiding frosting on
the windows. For instance, the windows made of glass blocks will
never be frosted when it is -2°C outdoor, yet the room temperature
is 20°C with humidity at 60%. Because of good heat insulation,
your room using glass blocks as a window can save energy.
OUTDOORS:
Heat Insulation: Heat insulation is important
for day lighting windows. Compared with other windows, glass blocks
windows have better insulating effect, especially in the place where
it is scorching hot and sunlight is strong in summer.
